My First Camera

My first camera is the Nikon D3500. My sister gave me this camera because she does not really use it anymore and I have talked about how I want to get more into photography. So far this has been a great camera to start with. I’ll include some picture I have taken with it in this post

The Iphone and many other phones now are so advanced that even if you don’t have an “actual” camera you can still start learning photography and be taking pictures everyday. If you are like me however, having a physical camera in your hand makes it feel more real and makes me get into the mindset of a photographer easier.

This Nikon is definitely not top of the line, but it has taught me many things and I have not had to spend any extra money to do something that I really enjoy. This camera has taught me the basics of photography and allows me to practice my composition and mess around with the settings on a daily basis.

Sometimes I do wish I had a fancier camera or at least a better lens, which I will be upgrading soon, but this helps remind me that I am just at the beginning of my career and being a great photographer is not about the gear you have. It is about the photos you take and the memories you make along the way.

If you are planning on getting your first camera consider this Nikon. It can help you learn all the basics and help get you out there taking more pictures. There are many reviews online for beginner cameras , but I found those very overwhelming because I had too many options and i didnt know what brand I wanted so I was very happy that I didn’t have to pick one out. If you are struggling to pick out a camera, just choose the cheapest one if it is a budget thing because for the most part they will all do basically the same thing. Whatever camera you choose first will be great, it’s about how you improve and fall in love with photography.

I have loved using this camera so far, and I can’t wait to see what else it can teach me and where it will take me.
